To get ready for our trip I just had all of my hair cut off, except for an inch or so all around.
Now I am really traveling lighter, not just because of the hair, but because I do not need to take the hair dryer, straightening iron, brushes, combs, etc.. Even bringing along conditioner is superfluous. I expect to be a lot cooler in a tropical climate without hair all over my ears either.
The hair went for a great cause, Locks for Love, an organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantage children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. I just found out about them recently, but everyone I tell seems to know about this organization already and was so happy that I sent my hair off to travel on someone else’s head.
Meanwhile, what liberty! I just may keep it this way!!!
